This was taken this afternoon before the cup match between Chelsea and Southend. My intention had been to take a little series of shots documenting the Southend supporters' day out, but I've ended up with a mini-series of 'Chelsea Heroes'. Well done to the Shrimpers for gaining a last minute draw ;-)

I've been housebound for a week so will have to settle for an alternative to yesterday's shot. I would be interested to know which version you prefer and why. My New Year's resolution is to try to get out more often specifically to take shots [it's been difficult lately], and to also set myself more themed projects like the tattoo studio and National Gallery ones I did in 2007. I have an idea for a photo-story which I'm going to try on Saturday, but I don't know if it will come off....

I know these are pretty ugly residential flats, but I find the architecture quite interesting from a photographic point of view. I took several different shots from various angles and for once I can't decide on which single shot to post here... so I'll be posting a different interpretation tomorrow.

Glad to see I generated a little debate yesterday on whether or not to include passers-by on this type of shot. To be honest I do usually try to opt for a bit of human interest, but for this one I haven't. Would be interested to hear your thoughts....
