This is Morrissey, formerly of The Smiths, performing at the Brentwood Centre a couple of weeks ago. A few days previously he'd collapsed on stage at Swindon with breathing difficulties and a few days later he walked off stage in Liverpool when he was hit by a plastic bottle from the crowd — so I was quite lucky to see him actually on stage ;-)

I was worried I'd be kicked out of the concert for having a 'prohibited' DSLR, so I waited until the very last song before taking any shots. The bouncers were more pre-occupied with people trying to get on stage by then anyway ;-)

This is the third time this year I've managed to get a shot of one of my "heroes", after Tony Benn and Martin Parr.
